PROGRAM NOTES:
A Letter from your Director:
"Welcome To Bomont!"
I have been involved in theater since I was eleven, either performing or helping backstage on over twenty productions with five theatrical companies. I made my directing debut in Treehouse Theater's 2015 production of " Magic Treehouse: A Knight at Dawn KIDS". I've helped assistant direct four shows and my most recent directing endeavor was " The Little Mermaid JR". "Footloose" is the first full length and live pit musical I have directed and I've had fun with the challenges and expectations that came with this show.
Just shy of a year ago, I was elected by the company to serve as Director for 2018. I have striven to serve this company and use my talents to grow and strengthen it. But, what I am truly proud of is this cast. They have worked extremely hard on this show, giving their absolute everything in each rehearsal. Some of our actors play multiple characters, a task that is often challenging, but they have navigated it with ease and poise. I am excited to finally share with an audience what this cast's hard work has produced. I must thank my amazing directing and production staff, because without each and every one of their efforts, this show would not exist. My producers, Lindsey, and Drake, were absolutely amazing this summer by attending to all t he finer details and loose ends that come with producing a musical. My music director, Olivia, my choreographer, Julie, worked unceasingly to put together the finished product you will see today. My tech director, Michelle, was invaluable to this production, using the magic of the theatrical " Yes, and" whenever I needed something done. My pit director, Ethan, was essential in bringing our cast and pit together to form a coherent sound and for that, I am forever grateful. To all of these, and every person who helped with any and every aspect of this show: Thank You. You are what keeps the dream alive.
Please enjoy Peter Quince Performing Company's rendition of "Footloose"!
